General director of the Open Join-Stick Company 'Northern Caucasus Resorts' Sergey Vereshchagin has made a business visit to Paris to meet French participants of the Touristic Cluster Project (further referred to as TCP).
Director of the European and foreign affairs, member of the Executive Committee of the French state holding Laurent Vigier, founder of Compagnie des Alpes Jean-Pierre Sonois, management team of France-Caucase and international experts in ski industry took part in the negotiations from the French Side. Current issues and prospects for cooperation within the framework of TCP were discussed during the meeting.
Special focus was made on business situation around the Russian-French Joint Venture International Caucasus Development, created by OJSC 'NCR' and France-Caucase (a subsidiary enterprise of Caisse des Depots et Consignations), and the plans for its further participation in the realization of TCP.
Staff members of the JV have started a technical analysis of the touristic recreational complex planned for construction to bring them in accord with international standards of cost-effectiveness for investors and make them attractive for tourists.
'France has accumulated an excellent experience in the ski resorts’ developing and adaptation of this experience to the touristic cluster project is a guaranty of world level quality. We are starting active work on the sites and now our framework agreements with French partners are coming to a stage of a detailed work plan with specific objectives and terms', explained S. Vepeshchagin.
In the nearest future OJSC 'NCR' and Caisse des Depots will continue consultations in Moscow, and representatives of Compagnie des Alpes are going to visit the priority sites of the North Caucasus Touristic Cluster- Arkhyz in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic and Mamison in the Republic of North Ossetia — Alania.
