Tourist SEZ investors may save up to 30% in implementation of projects

Residents of tourist recreation special economic zones in the NCFD, brought together under the management of NCR JSC, due to the state support measures, a systems of benefits and preferences, may reduce the cost of their projects by 20-30% compared to the standard investment conditions. Such figures were provided by Khasan Timizhev, the Director General of Joint-Stock Company Northern Caucasus Resorts, who took part in the business session Invest in Caucasus: 7 steps to a successful project.
‘The major share of saving makes it possible to connect to utilities and transport infrastructure, already brought by NCR JSC to the resort territory. You will not have to build a hotel or an entertainment center in the open fields, we will provide the facility with electricity, gas, water, sewage, i.e. all necessary utility networks,’ he told. ‘The investor also takes land on lease at reduced rent. Plus, there is a whole set of tax benefits. In aggregate, this makes it possible to invest to the maximum extent in implementation of the project at the first stage, rather than spend money on related expenses. Consequently, a hotel or another facility can be built faster, begin receiving tourists earlier and provide return on investment faster,’ Khasan Timizhev noted.
He also told on the company’s supporting investors at the stage of getting SEZ resident status: specialists of NCR JSC render assistance in preparing an application, business plan, land lease contract.
‘We undertake also marketing positioning: advertising, dealing with media, holding entertainment and sports events on the sites. The Northern Caucasus resorts are being actively promoted through exhibitions: thus, this week we showed Arkhyz, Elbrus and Veduchi in Ulyanovsk, at the forum Russia - Country of Sports. We received good feedback not only from tourists, but also from athletes, coaches, sports federations, who want to hold trainings at our place, and mostly in summer and off-season, when the number of tourists is substantially lower compared to winter,’ the head of NCR JSC told. ‘While promoting the resorts, we thus promote facilities of SEZ residents, and the growth of the tourist flow directly influences the revenue of our investors. This is mutually beneficial partnership, where everyone (the resident and the management company) is working for success of each other,’ Khasan Timizhev concluded.
The work with potential investors was continued within seven round tables corresponding to project implementation stages. At each of them, problems faced by initiators and business owners at a certain stage are discussed. Different scenarios of project development are being modeled in real time mode.
