Resorts of the North Caucasus and France twinned

At the Russian Investment Forum RIF 2019, today, a Russian-French memorandum on cooperation and establishment of long-term partnership between Joint-Stock Company Northern Caucasus Resorts, Société d’Aménagement de la station de la Plaigne (SAP) and Arcs Domaine Skiable (ADS) was signed.
The agreement provides for establishment of twin relations between resorts Arkhyz, Elbrus and Veduchi within the North Caucasus tourism cluster and La Plagne, Les Arcs and Peisey-Vallandry, included in the single ski zone Paradiski in France. The signing ceremony was held before Odes Baysultanov, the First Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for North Caucasus Affairs, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Joint-Stock Company Northern Caucasus Resorts, and Sylvie Bermann, Ambassador of France to Russia.
‘Both companies that became today our partners, are part of Compagnie des Alpes Group that manages development and operation of 22 mountain ski centers and recreation zone all over the world. We have been cooperating with Compagnie des Alpes since launch of the North Caucasus Tourism Cluster, interesting is their unique experience in creation of successful resorts that we can and must consider in our project,’ Khasan Timizhev, the Director General of Joint-Stock Company Northern Caucasus Resorts, told after signing the memorandum. ‘A new stage of partnership shall be cooperation already not between companies, but at the level of guests of our resorts, who are knit together by common enthusiasm for mountain ski sports, regardless of borders between countries,’ he concluded.
Cooperation between the parties shall be aimed at promotion of mountain ski tourism, development of physical activities, sports and promotion of healthy lifestyles, and also provide for humanitarian and cultural exchange between France and regions of the North Caucasus. Inter alia, the joint work shall include familiarization tours for representatives of tourist companies and hotel business, development of cobranding projects, holding physical activities and sports events and competitions, round tables and topical workshop on issues of development of mountain ski tourism. In addition, the possibility of holding cross Days of France and Days of North Caucasus with participation of music bands of the two countries, arrangement of photographic exhibitions and other creative events.
Farini Jean-Marc, who represented at the signing management companies of Paradiski skiing area, told about long-term partnership between Compagnie des Alpes Group and Northern Caucasus Resorts. ‘We took part in designing mountain ski complexes Arkhyz, Elbrus and Veduchi, and we are proud that there is also our contribution to the tourist flow to these resorts, which is growing from year to year. Today a new important page of our cooperation is opened: I am sure that it will be interesting for French skiers to learn skiing opportunities in the North Caucasus Alpes, he concluded.
