Recreation in the North Caucasus resorts to be promoted through Visit Russia offices

Recreation opportunities in Arkhyz, Elbrus and Veduchi resorts will be promoted through the international network of national tourist offices Visit Russia, under the aegis of FSUE National Marketing Center for Tourism – one of subordinate entities of the Federal Tourism Agency (Rostourism). A respective memorandum of cooperation and understanding was signed today, on May 25, at the site of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum SPIEF 2018 before the First Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for North Caucasus Affairs, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Joint-Stock Company Northern Caucasus Resorts Odes Baysultanov and Head of the Federal Agency for Tourism Oleg Safonov.

The parties to the tripartite agreement are JSC NCR, the management company of the North Caucasus tourism cluster, FSUE National Marketing Center for Tourism - a state unitary enterprise in charge for promotion of the national tourism product abroad, and Lex Systems LLC – a multidisciplinary company specialized in visa outsourcing.

FSUE National Marketing Center for Tourism developing Visit Russia brand, offers to Russian regions a full range of services for media promotion abroad — from developing marketing strategies to creating and advertising all advertising formats for various events, exhibitions and presentations. At international trade fairs, a national booth of the Russian Federation under Visit Russia brand represents the achievements of Russian regions in tourism. They include traditional tourist routes, such as the Golden Ring, Moscow and St. Petersburg, and promising new products, which include tourism cluster in the NCFD, for which entering the international market opens wide prospects.

The key purpose of cooperation will be definitely attracting foreign tourists to the resorts of JSC NCR. Under the memorandum, the parties are planning to begin active advertising and information promotion of services all-season complexes Arkhyz, Elbrus and Veduchi through national offices Visit Russia. Tourists from the United States, UK, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, France, Canada, PRC, UAE, South Korea, Japan and other countries will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the benefits of rest at all-season resorts of the North Caucasus, where the European level of service is combined with the traditional Caucasian hospitality.

According to the Director General of Joint-Stock Company Northern Caucasus Resorts Khasan Timizhev, tourists from European and Asian countries have already begun to discover the North Caucasus direction. ‘The results of our annual marketing researches confirm the high interest of foreign guests to Elbrus resort in Kabardino-Balkaria, where there is the highest peak of Europe, to our other sites,’ he said. ‘And thanks to the collaboration with Visit Russia, we can arrange an effective B2B communication with tour operators. This will make it possible to obtain clear feedback on requests of foreign tourists and generate meaningful and sought-after tourist products for them,’ Khasan Timizhev concluded.

The acting director of FSUE National Marketing Center for Tourism Vadim Naumenko also has optimistic projections. ‘I hope that the signing of this memorandum will be the beginning of a large joint path, the first stage of fruitful cooperation between Lex Systems and Northern Caucasus Resort,’ he said. ‘I am sure that together we will achieve great success in promoting this beautiful and very promising region in the international tourist market,’ he noted.
When commenting on the signing of the memorandum, Deputy Director General of Lex Systems Timur Abramov emphasized significance of the consolidated promotion of Russia in tourist markets. ‘This will make it possible to create a comprehensive picture of the tourism potential of regions and tourist products, he stressed. ‘It's nice to know that the Russian resorts are not inferior to foreign and fully conform to international standards,’ Timur Abramov concluded.
